Island Food Revolution is a culinary movement bringing local farmers and producers together with the foodservice and hospitality industry.
The IFR ambassadors are chefs and professionals from the hospitality industry from various multi-cultural backgrounds striving to source and promote "le plus bon & le plus beau" terroir produce from across the island and Rodrigues.
Integrating heirloom vegetables once forgotten in the chefs' creations and developing local meat supplies that have never been valued to date.
The chef ambassadors will be enhancing, developing and mentoring local producers to achieve a level of quality to the expectations of the industry.
Supported by the United Nations, the Ministry of Agro-Industry and Food Security and her god-mother Anne Sophie Pic, The IFR shall contribute to the development of products locally created and grown and enhance the savoir-faire of farmers and producers to contribute to their social and economical empowerment.
